The Hague Academy of International Law is a centre for research and teaching in public and private international law, with the aim of further scientific and advanced studies of the legal aspects of international relations.
L’Académie de droit international de la Haye constitue un centre de recherche et d'enseignement du droit international public et privé procédant à l'examen scientifique et approfondi des aspects juridiques des rapports internationaux.

The Academy has occupied premises at the Peace Palace since its foundation, in The Hague, Netherlands. When the courses started on 14 July 1923, at the Peace Palace in The Hague, 353 students originating from 31 countries attended. Today, legal practitioners and students from all around the world representing more than 100 nationalities attend the programmes of the Academy: the Summer Courses, the Centre for Studies and Research in International Law and International Relations, the External Programme and the Seminar for Advanced Studies for practitioners in Public and Private International Law.
Depuis sa création, l’Académie a son siège au Palais de la Paix, à La Haye, Pays-Bas. Le 14 juillet 1923 eut lieu l'ouverture des cours, en présence de 353 auditeurs, originaires de 31 États. Aujourd’hui, des juristes du monde entier représentant plus de 100 nationalités participent aux programmes de l’Académie : Cours d’été, Centre d’études et de recherche en droit international et relations internationales, Programme extérieur et Cours de perfectionnement pour praticiens en droit international public et privé.
